Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare in Brisbane is seeking a Casual Pool Educator to support our Cleveland and Capalaba Long Day Care and Kindy services. You will cover lunch breaks and staff absences, helping ensure children receive high-quality care and education during the day.

Shifts typically run 9:30am to 2:00pm on weekdays, with potential to pick up extra hours in OSHC. This role suits experienced early childhood professionals returning to the sector or seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-equivalent.
• Currently studying towards Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in LDC or Kindergarten is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support educators across Long Day Care and Kindergarten environments.
• Provide float support and cover lunch breaks to maintain daily operations.
• Help maintain safe, engaging and inclusive learning environments.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and educators.
• Assist with daily routines, activities and learning experiences.
• Work across Cleveland and Capalaba services as needed.

Join Catholic Early EdCare as a Casual Pool Educator supporting our Cleveland and Capalaba Long Day Care and Kindy services.

In this flexible and rewarding role, you'll provide valuable support to our teams by covering lunch breaks, staff absences and other operational needs, helping ensure children continue to receive high-quality care and education.

What You’ll Need:

We would ideally love to hear from candidates who have completed a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.

We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently studying towards their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, particularly those with previous experience working with children.

Experience in an LDC or Kindergarten setting will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you’ll also need:

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Good weekday availability and a willingness to work across Cleveland and Capalaba
• A current driver's licence and your own reliable transport, as travel between services is required
• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications, or a willingness to obtain them
• Completion of mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Foundation Course 1 and 2
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work
