Job summary

The Grove Academy Mount Annan is looking for an Educator to join our team and help create a fun, enriching environment for children.

You will collaborate with a passionate team, deliver engaging learning experiences, and support children through observation and documentation, all while upholding our child-safe practices and values.

Qualifications

• Cert III & Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness to complete Foundations of Child Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, milestone-aligned learning experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment.
• Support children's growth through observation and documentation.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and fun.
• Prioritise children's safety, health and wellbeing at all times.
• Actively supervise children and manage risks in the environment.

The opportunity to work alongside our in-house allied health professionals, who collaborate closely with our teams to support children’s development and help educators feel confident and empowered in their practice

About the Role

As an Educator at The Grove Academy, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, enriching, and safe environment for children to thrive. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team and contribute to the implementation of exciting programs that inspire curiosity and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering fun, engaging and milestone aligned learning experiences
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and your team
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Supporting children’s growth through observation and documentation
• Contributing to a culture of collaboration and fun
• Ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all children is prioritised at all times
• Actively supervising children and maintaining awareness of risks in the environment
• Reporting any concerns or incidents in line with service policies and procedures

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who embodies passion and enthusiasm. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Certificate III & Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to providing quality care and fostering children’s learning
• A positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety
• Completed the Foundations of Child Safety training (or willing to complete prior to commencement).

Successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
