Job summary

The Grove Academy Moorebank is seeking a friendly Childcare Trainee to begin your career in early childhood education, learning hands‑on alongside a passionate team.

You’ll help deliver engaging activities, build positive relationships with children and families, and grow under the guidance of experienced educators. A valid WWCC is required; Foundations of Child Safety training is welcomed and encouraged.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with children and their development.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting.

About the Role

As a Trainee at The Grove Academy, you’ll kickstart your career in Early Childhood Education by working alongside a passionate team to create a positive and inspiring environment for children. With hands‑on learning opportunities, you’ll develop the skills to deliver fun, engaging programs that nurture children’s growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Learning how to support educators in delivering fun and engaging learning experiences
• Building warm relationships with children, families, and your team
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Actively participating in learning opportunities
• Contributing to a culture of fun, collaboration, and curiosity
• Ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all children is prioritised at all times
• Actively supervising children and maintaining awareness of risks in the environment
• Reporting any concerns or incidents in line with service policies and procedures
