Job summary

The Grove Academy Charlestown is seeking an Educator to create a fun, enriching and safe learning environment for children. You will collaborate with a passionate team to implement exciting programs that inspire curiosity and development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to child safety and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
• Completion of Foundations of Child Safety training (or willing to complete).

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, milestone-aligned learning experiences for children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.
• Observe, document and support children's growth and development.
• Contribute to a collaborative, celebratory team culture.
• Prioritise safety, health and wellbeing of every child.
• Supervise children actively and manage environmental risks.
• Report concerns in line with service policies.

About the Role

As an Educator at The Grove Academy, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, enriching, and safe environment for children to thrive. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team and contribute to the implementation of exciting programs that inspire curiosity and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering fun, engaging and milestone aligned learning experiences
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and your team
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Supporting children’s growth through observation and documentation
• Contributing to a culture of collaboration and fun
• Ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all children is prioritised at all times
• Actively supervising children and maintaining awareness of risks in the environment
• Reporting any concerns or incidents in line with service policies and procedures

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who embodies passion and enthusiasm. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to providing quality care and fostering children’s learning
• A positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety
• Completed the Foundations of Child Safety training (or willing to complete prior to commencement).
