Job summary

The Grove Academy is seeking a Childcare Trainee at its Edmondson Park campus to begin a rewarding career in early childhood education. You will work with a passionate team to deliver engaging programs and hands-on learning experiences that support children’s growth.

Responsibilities include supporting educators, building relationships with children and families, maintaining a safe environment, and actively participating in development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, team‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to embrace fun, creativity and curiosity in your work.
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting.
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety.
• Completed Foundations of Child Safety training (or willing to complete prior to commencement).
• Successful applicants will hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

About the Role

As a Trainee at The Grove Academy, you’ll kickstart your career in Early Childhood Education by working alongside a passionate team to create a positive and inspiring environment for children. With hands‑on learning opportunities, you’ll develop the skills to deliver fun, engaging programs that nurture children’s growth.
