Job summary

Burnett House is seeking an experienced Educational Leader to mentor educators, strengthen learning outcomes, and drive high-quality practices across our family-owned centre in Brisbane. You will work closely with the Educational Leadership team to embed excellence in teaching, learning, and reflective practice.

The role is hands-on and on the floor, focusing on coaching, curriculum development, and strong relationships with families and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience leading curriculum and supporting educator development.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
• Current Blue Card and first aid certifications (including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
• Availability to work 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support Educators to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning programs aligned with the EYLF.
• Mentor and coach Educators to strengthen teaching practices and confidence.
• Be a hands-on mentor on the floor with teams and guide educators.
• Collaborate with room teams to extend children's learning and development.
• Assist with curriculum planning, documentation, and reflective processes.
• Support compliance with NQS, EYLF, Child Safe Standards, and centre policies.
• Work with leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
• Provide ongoing guidance to educator development through modelling and feedback.
