Job summary

Journey Early Learning Echuca West is seeking an Educational Leader to provide pedagogical leadership across the centre, strengthening curriculum and teaching practice while supporting educators to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

You will mentor educators, guide reflective practice, and ensure programs align with EYLF and children’s individual learning needs. This role includes contributing to the QIP and promoting a collaborative learning culture within the centre.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Experience mentoring, coaching and supporting Early Childhood Educators.
• Experience in curriculum development, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Experience contributing to Quality Improvement Plans and quality initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments.
• National Child Safety Foundation Module training or willingness to complete.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide pedagogical leadership across the centre to strengthen curriculum and teaching practice.
• Lead development and implementation of high-quality educational programs and curriculum.
• Mentor and coach educators to strengthen pedagogical practice and confidence.
• Guide educators through reflective practice, professional learning and continuous improvement.
• Ensure programs reflect EYLF, children’s interests and learning needs.
• Contribute to the development and review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
• Support ongoing quality improvement and NQS outcomes.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, professional learning and reflective practice.
• Work with Centre Leadership to support educational and operational outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and Journey community.
