Job summary

Childs Play ELC in Wyndham Vale, VIC invites an experienced Educational Leader to guide our team of educators in delivering high-quality, child-centred learning programs. The role involves mentoring staff, ensuring alignment with NQF, EYLF V2.0 and VEYLDF, and driving continuous improvement alongside the Centre Manager.

You will prioritise safety, family engagement and partnerships with the community, with time spent on the floor to model best practice and lead the Quality Improvement Plan.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) required.
• Experience leading classrooms or educational teams in early childhood.
• Strong knowledge of NQF, EYLF V2.0 and VEYLDF.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, carry out and evaluate the educational program across all rooms.
• Mentor and coach educators to plan programs that respond to children's interests and developmental stages.
• Build a culture of critical reflection through regular meetings, feedback and professional conversations.
• Support documentation, observations, planning cycles and assessment of children's learning.
• Model best practice on the floor, including inclusive practice and intentional teaching.
• Lead and contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and self-assessment processes.
• Identify training needs within the team and plan professional learning.
• Ensure children's safety, wellbeing and rights align with Child Safe Standards.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the community.
