Job summary

Guardian Childcare & Education Balmain Cove seeks an Educational Leader to drive learning quality and staff development. You’ll lead programs, coach teams, and shape teaching practices to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.

The role emphasises collaboration, continuous improvement, and a commitment to above‑award pay and rewards within a supportive network.

Qualifications

• Completion of mandatory Child Protection training.
• University degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved).
• Current Teacher Accreditation/Registration (NSW, SA, VIC & WA).
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
• Desirable: experience in the early years sector.
• Working with Children’s Check or state equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support centre teams under Thrive framework.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and pathways to leadership across the network.
• Drive programming and resource planning for learning environments.
• Collaborate to build professional capacity and innovative teaching practices.

The Centre:

Balmain Cove, located in the heart of Rozelle and Balmain is designed to replicate the comfort of a family-style environment. Situated close to public transport, our beautiful 72 place centre includes bright, nature-filled spaces, and a range of exciting, resource-rich environments. The centre also includes age-specific ateliers and a team of warm and passionate educators. The children get out and about on weekly excursions and enjoy great connections with the surrounding community.

Here’s what you’ll bring:

• Completion of the national mandatory Child Protection training via the GECCKO platform
• Tertiary Qualifications (University Degree or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education as approved by ACECQA.
• Current Teacher’s Accreditation/ Registration (NSW, SA, VIC & WA)
• Proven knowledge of the National Quality Framework
• Previous experience working in the early years sector (desirable)
• Valid Working with Children’s Check or state-specific equivalent
