Job summary

TAFE NSW External seeks an Education Support Officer (ESO) in the Ageing and Disability stream to assist students with learning needs. You will provide tutoring and guidance, working alongside teachers to support engagement and progress.

In this role you will maintain records, assist with administrative duties, and help create an inclusive classroom environment. Training and flexible options are provided to support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, or be enrolled to complete it.
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience in Ageing, Disability or Community Services.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and motivate learners.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills for adult learners.
• Ability to use information and communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and learning assistance to students in Ageing and Disability.
• Engage with learners via face-to-face, online, phone and email.
• Maintain student records and support administrative/compliance tasks.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support student success.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
