Job summary

TAFE NSW Education Support Officer (ESO) - Ageing and Disability is a permanent part-time role in Sydney. You will tutor and provide learning support to students in the Ageing and Disability sector, working closely with Teachers and Head Teachers to help learners engage, build confidence and progress in their studies.

You will also help maintain student records and support a range of administrative and compliance activities, while avoiding delivering training or developing learning resources.

Qualifications

• Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, or are enrolled in and working towards completion.
• Have a minimum of three years industry experience.
• Ability to understand learning materials and the discipline's processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with initiative and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and learning assistance to students in Ageing and Disability.
• Encourage learner engagement, build confidence, and support progression.
• Maintain student records and assist with administrative and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support a positive, inclusive learning environment.
