Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria is seeking an experienced IT and help desk manager to lead the school's IT support across multiple campuses. You will recruit, orient and train staff, maintain a safe and secure IT environment, and drive strategic IT plans in collaboration with Curriculum Leadership.

Key responsibilities include delivering and supporting IT strategies, benchmarking best practices, disaster recovery, budgeting and coordinating projects with the School Management team, and

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage IT helpdesk staff and train IT employees.
• Define and deliver strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Research and recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking best practices.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and managing and maintaining listed technologies.

Responsibilities

• Proven work experience as an IT and help desk manager
• Hands on experience with help desk and remote control software
• Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
• Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent Team management and communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain documentation of all relevant IT applications/hardware/software
