Job summary

Caulfield Grammar School is establishing a new Shelford Campus and seeks Educational Assistants to support student learning and help create an exceptional learning environment. These roles commence in 2027 and are part-time during term time.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, you will support students across learning settings, prepare learning materials, maintain documentation, and collaborate with teachers to promote inclusive teaching and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Employment Working with Children Check.
• Certificate III in a related field.
• Previous school-based experience in a similar position is highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to build positive relationships.
• Collaborative and team‑oriented approach to work.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
• Proficiency in the use of digital technology.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a variety of learning environments under the guidance of classroom teachers.
• Assist year level teams as an active and collaborative member of the learning community.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources to support teaching and learning programs.
• Maintain relevant documentation and records relating to student learning and behaviour.
• Communicate observations of student learning and progress with teachers as appropriate.
• Prepare and upload classroom communications.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to promote effective teaching strategies and student engagement.
• Support individual students and small groups to access and participate in learning programs.
• Assist with the delivery of broader curriculum experiences, including year level events, incursions and excursions.
• Attend Educational Assistant meetings and contribute positively to team collaboration.
• Participate in professional learning and development opportunities as directed by the School.
• Uphold the School's commitment to Child Safety, ensuring the wellbeing, safety and dignity of all students at all times.
