Job summary

Caulfield Grammar School, a renowned independent co-educational school, invites applications for Casual Café Assistants at the Caulfield Campus. During school terms only, you’ll support student-led cafe programs, assist with food orders, stock control and ensuring kitchen safety.

You’ll roster across weekdays with flexibility to fit term-time schedules. The role blends hospitality with learning, offering real-world experience in a vibrant school setting and the chance to contribute to student

Qualifications

• Experience with Practical Food Hygiene.
• Previous exposure to food preparation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
• Any relevant Food or Hospitality qualifications would be desirable.
• First Aid Certificate would be advantageous.
• Employment Working with Children’s Check.

Responsibilities

• Support students with curriculum-based Learning Outcomes for the Cafe Program.
• Collaborate with the Café Manager to guide and evaluate student performance.
• Prepare food trays/trolleys for practical classes as needed.
• Collaborate with Café Manager for food orders and procure additional goods as necessary.
• Ensure proper storage of fruit, vegetables, and cold items.
• Participate in stock-takes and attend meetings.
• Purchase of goods not included in bulk orders as required.
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
