Qualifications

• Enrolled in or committed to completing a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• Genuine interest in mechanical equipment and long-term trade career.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn through structured training and on-the-job experience.
• Reliable, motivated and team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy machinery.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical faults while building technical skills.
• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices; keep a clean, organized environment.
• Complete apprenticeship training, attend trade school and maintain training records.
• Work across service areas and participate in on-the-job training to gain broad industry experience.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.
