Job summary

Bakers Delight in Figtree, NSW, is seeking a qualified baker for full-time employment. The role involves daily bakery production, kneading, shaping dough, decorating cakes, and ensuring product quality while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Shifts start as early as 4 AM and total ~38 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Baking, be able to work across 7 days, and thrive in a fast-paced team while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Available to work across 7 days including early mornings.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team and communicate with customers.
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Complete duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Abide by company policies and WHS and Food safety rules.
• Experience with supervision in bakery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery products per Bakers Delight recipes.
• Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry.
• Glazing buns and pastries, decorating cakes with icing and cream.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for quality products.
• Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.
• Operate bakery machines and tools safely and efficiently.
• Decorate cakes with glazes, icings and toppings.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and premises; follow safety policies.
