Liverpool City Council in Sydney is offering a Traineeship for a Casual/Temporary, Full-time role as a Trainee Early Childhood Educator. The position runs up to 18 months, requires 38 hours per week, and is based in our community services.

You will train to gain a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through TAFE NSW, supported by a dedicated mentor. Applicants must be 16+, and there is a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer-focused service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Early Childhood Educators have a lifelong impact on children and their families! If you are interested in commencing a rewarding career in Early Childhood, then this is the position for you!
We are seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our educating team as a Trainee Early Childhood Educator. You will be working with a team of exceptional Educators to provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for all children attending the centre.

The traineeship is for a period of 1.5 years which will include a blend of workplace learning and formal training to gain a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through the registered training organisation, TAFE NSW. The traineeship gives those wishing to commence a career in Early Childhood Education an opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in high quality services that Exceed National Quality Standards. You will be able to learn in a supportive workplace ensuring you are equipped with the skills and knowledge to advance in your new career.

ABOUT YOU

To be able to apply for the position you must not already possess a Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related discipline. You must be a minimum of 16 years of age (Legislative Requirement).

To succeed in this role you should have;

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of customer focused service.
• Ability to work as a co-operative team member
• A strong interest in the area of early childhood education
