Beyond the Clouds is seeking a compassionate and skilled Early Childhood Educator (Early Intervention) to join our team in Hassall Grove, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families during critical early developmental years.
As an Early Childhood Educator specialising in early intervention, you will work with children aged 0-5 years who may be experiencing developmental delays or requiring additional support. You will implement individualised learning and development strategies that foster growth, confidence and wellbeing in a nurturing, play-based environment. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education that supports every child's potential.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver individualised early intervention strategies tailored to each child's developmental needs and learning goals
Observe and assess children's development across all areas, including physical, cognitive, social and emotional domains
Create and maintain safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote exploration and discovery
Collaborate with families, educators and allied health professionals to support holistic child development
Implement evidence-based teaching and learning practices that align with early childhood curriculum frameworks
Document children's progress and communicate regularly with families regarding developmental milestones and achievements
Support children's transitions and help build their independence, self-regulation and social skills
Maintain accurate records and participate in professional reflective practice with the team
Adhere to duty of care responsibilities and maintain a clean, safe and organised learning space
What we're looking for
A current Early Childhood Education qualification or equivalent recognised qualification
Understanding and knowledge of developmental milestones across the 0-5 years age range
Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to employment
Current First Aid and CPR certification suitable for early childhood settings
Strong observation and assessment skills with the ability to identify children's individual strengths and needs
Experience implementing play-based learning approaches that support developmental outcomes
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for early childhood education and commitment to creating inclusive environments for all children
Knowledge of relevant child safety and protection legislation and policies
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-based setting
