Job summary

Master Kid Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join on a casual basis, with potential for permanent employment. Based in Matraville NSW, you will deliver high-quality care and play-based learning, supporting children's development and wellbeing in a warm, inclusive environment.

You will work with a supportive team, adhere to child safety standards, and contribute to individual learning plans.

Qualifications

• A current Early Childhood qualification (Diploma or Certificate III in ECEC) recognised by ACECQA
• Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and Child Safety Standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and colleagues
• Passion for working with young children and supporting learning and wellbeing
• Ability to stay calm and responsive in a busy environment
• Physical capability for active play and routines
• Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting positive behaviour management
• Flexibility and reliability for casual working arrangements
• Experience in early childhood settings valued

Responsibilities

• Supervising and caring for children in accordance with legislation and best practice

Master Kid Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a casual basis, with potential of permanent contract. Based in Matraville, you will be providing high-quality care, support and educational activities in a vibrant, inclusive childcare environment. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering children's learning, development and wellbeing whilst creating a safe and nurturing space where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and caring for children in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and best practice standards
• Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that support children's cognitive, physical, emotional and social development
• Building positive relationships with children and families, ensuring open communication and regular feedback about each child's progress
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment, including playground supervision and hazard identification
• Assisting with meal times, toileting, and personal hygiene routines whilst promoting children's independence and self-care skills
• Observing and documenting children's learning and development, contributing to individual learning plans and developmental assessments
• Supporting children with diverse needs and backgrounds, fostering inclusion and celebrating diversity within the service
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent approaches to behaviour guidance and positive strategies
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy, duty of care, child safe standards and safeguarding responsibilities
• Participating in professional development opportunities and contributing to team meetings and service improvements

What we're looking for

• A current Early Childhood qualification (such as a Diploma or Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care) recognised by ACECQA
• Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of child development, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families and colleagues
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and wellbeing
• Ability to remain calm, patient and responsive in a busy, dynamic environment
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending and active play with children
• A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting positive behaviour management
• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to a casual working arrangement
• Experience working in early childhood settings or equivalent childcare experience is highly valued
