Bright Achievers Childcare & ELC in Edmondson Park, NSW is seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Manager. You will lead operations, education and finances, driving high standards of care while fostering an inclusive environment for children, families and staff.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised)
  • Current Working with Children Check or eligibility to obtain one
  • Experience managing a childcare centre or equivalent leadership in ECE settings
  • Strong knowledge of NQS, Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations, and EYLF
  • Experience in staff management including recruitment, training and performance management
  • Sound financial management skills: budgeting and planning
  • Excellent communication with families, staff, children and external stakeholders
  • Data-driven approach to quality improvement; First Aid/CPR certification preferred

About the role

Bright Achievers Childcare & ELC is seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Centre Manager to join our team in Edmondson Park, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of early learning and childcare at our centre.

As Childcare Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, educational and financial management of the centre. You will provide strategic leadership, ensuring the highest standards of childcare and early learning are maintained, whilst creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children, families and staff. This role is pivotal in driving the centre's vision and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of centre operations, including staffing, budgeting, facility maintenance and resource planning

Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and all relevant legislative requirements

Recruit, supervise, mentor and support a diverse team of educators and support staff, fostering a positive workplace culture

Oversee the educational program and curriculum delivery, ensuring it aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and best practice in early childhood education

Maintain regular communication with families, building strong relationships and partnerships to support children's learning and development

Manage enrolments, fees and financial matters, including monitoring budgets and ensuring financial sustainability

Conduct regular quality assurance audits and implement continuous improvement strategies to maintain and enhance service standards

Ensure health, safety and wellbeing protocols are consistently implemented across the centre

Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community organisations and local schools

Participate in professional development and stay current with emerging trends and best practices in early childhood education

What we’re looking for

Minimum Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)

Current Working with Children Check (or eligibility to obtain one)

Proven experience managing a childcare centre or equivalent leadership experience in early childhood education settings

Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standard, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework

Demonstrated experience in staff management, including recruitment, training, performance management and team development

Sound financial management skills, including budget management and financial planning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with families, staff, children and external stakeholders

Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail

Passion for early childhood education and a genuine commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments

Ability to lead with empathy, integrity and transparency

Experience with quality improvement initiatives and data‑driven decision making is highly desirable

First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
