Waratah Preschool and Nursery in Berowra, NSW is hiring an Early Childhood Educator for either Certificate III or Diploma qualifications. This permanent position offers 3–4 days per week with hourly pay ranging from $32 to $40 depending on qualification and experience.

You will join a friendly, long-established centre that values reflective practice, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. Applicants must hold NSW WWC clearance and familiarity with EYLF/NQF.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards completion.
• ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check and knowledge of EYLF/NQF.

Early Childhood Educator – Certificate III or Diploma

Waratah Preschool and Nursery has proudly served the Berowra community as a family-owned long day care service since 1984 — more than 40 years. Many of our educators have reached long service milestones with us — a real reflection of the genuinely supportive, low-turnover team and workplace environment we've built, and something new team members notice from day one.

You'll work across our rooms as part of a flexible, collaborative team, supporting children from babies, toddlers through to preschool age. Our program includes weekly art and cooking classes, imaginative indoor and outdoor play, and Mandarin language sessions on Fridays, across our recently renovated rooms and outdoor spaces.

We welcome applications from both Certificate III qualified educators and Diploma qualified educators — please note your qualification level and years of experience when you apply so we can place you on the right pay rate.

About you

Certificate III applicants

• An ACECQA-approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards completion.

Diploma applicants

• An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

All applicants will bring:

• A current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and children's wellbeing.
• Warm, respectful communication with children, families and colleagues.
• Reliability, initiative and a collaborative approach.
• Current first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain it before commencement.

Previous experience in a centre-based early childhood service is desirable, but we also welcome developing Certificate III educators who have the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn.
