Job summary

Bland Shire Council in NSW invites applications for an Early Childhood Assistant to promote children’s wellbeing, development and learning and help them develop values, attitudes and ways of living that will make them effective members of our community.

Minimum 15 hours per week, with a family-based culture, competitive pay and generous leave entitlements including 5 weeks annual leave and 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years. Learning and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards this qualification.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Current Class ‘C’ Driver Licence.
• Current First Aid response in education and care setting certificate.
• Current Police Check.
• Current Working with Children’s Check Number and Clearance.
• Thorough knowledge of WHS and EEO practices and principles.

Responsibilities
