Happy Seeds Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten in Melbourne, Victoria is seeking passionate Part Time and Casual Assistant Educators to join our warm, supportive team. We care for up to 36 children daily, creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and meaningful interactions.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, with a strong understanding of child development and early years learning

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care required.
• Knowledge of child development principles and early years learning frameworks preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Position Overview:

Part Time and Casual Assistant Educator

Happy Seeds Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is looking for some Assistant Educators to support our teaching team in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidates will have a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, along with a genuine passion for working with young children.

As an Assistant Educator at our Centre, you will work collaboratively with our lead educators to provide a safe and stimulating learning experience for children. You will assist in implementing educational programs, observing children's development, and supporting their social and emotional well‑being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of educators in the toddler room.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress and daily activities.
• Collaborate with other staff members and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification (minimum requirement).
• Availability to work 4 to 5 days a week.
• Previous experience working in a childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early years learning frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Police Check, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Foundations of child safety training certificate.
