Job summary

Evolution Mining is hiring an Electrical Technician at Northparkes Operations. The role focuses on delivering electrical construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities to support critical site projects in a safety-first environment.

You will work on high and low voltage systems, control cabling, distribution boards, and underground infrastructure, with opportunities to support procurement and maintenance during shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification is required.
• Unrestricted Driver's Licence is required.
• Experience in industrial electrical and/or mining environments is desirable.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Desirable: Advanced First Aid and LV/CPR Rescue, Working at Heights and HV Switching qualifications; SAP exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission electrical equipment and services, including high and low voltage systems, control cabling, distribution boards and underground infrastructure.
• Support contractors during construction activities and assist with project procurement.
• Provide maintenance support during shutdowns and breakdowns as required.

What’s the opportunity?

Join the team at Northparkes Operations as an Electrical Technician, where you'll play a key role in delivering electrical construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities that support critical site projects. Working within a collaborative and safety-focused environment, you will contribute to the successful delivery of project milestones while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

In this hands on role, you will be involved in the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and services, including high voltage and low voltage systems, control cabling, distribution boards and underground infrastructure. You will also support contractors during construction activities, assist with project procurement activities and provide maintenance support during shutdowns and breakdowns when required.

This role operates on a 7/7 roster (days and nights)

You are a qualified Electrical Tradesperson with experience in industrial or mining environments and a strong commitment to safety. You have sound technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver quality project outcomes.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Unrestricted Driver's Licence
• Advanced First Aid and LV/CPR Rescue qualifications (desirable)
• Working at Heights and HV Switching qualifications (desirable)
• Experience in industrial electrical and/or underground mining environments (desirable)
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to SAP and development mining will be highly regarded
