Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a qualified Charge Up professional for Northparkes, with a solid 12‑month underground background. You will charge headings, handle explosives safely, and ensure blasting procedures and safety protocols are followed to the letter.

You’ll operate on a 7/7 roster, relocate to Parkes region if needed, and contribute to a team committed to safe, productive mining with clear career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Based in Parkes or willing to relocate to Northparkes.
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar underground role.
• Blasting Explosives User Licence is required.
• Working at Heights ticket required.
• Security clearance to handle explosives.

Responsibilities

• Charge up development and production headings.
• Handle, transport and store explosives safely and efficiently.
• Follow site blasting and evacuation procedures closely.
• Prepare blast holes to minimise misfires and maximise efficiency.
• Keep safety front and centre for you and your crew.

The current sub-level cave at Northparkes offers a solid 10-year mine life, including five years of development mining. Following this, Evolution Mining has a pipeline of future projects that will extend operations for another decade. Reporting to the Underground Mining Supervisor, this gig’s all about getting stuck into Charge Up duties to keep our underground development and production firing on all cylinders. You’ll be right in the thick of it, making sure everything goes off without a hitch- literally.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Charging up development and production headings like a pro
• Handling, transporting, and storing explosives safely and efficiently
• Sticking to site blasting and evacuation procedures like it’s second nature
• Prepping blast holes to reduce misfires and get the most bang for our buck
• Keeping safety front and centre—for yourself and your crew
• Living and breathing the Evolution values every shift

This role operates on a 7/7 roster (days and nights)
