Job summary

BHP Group is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for Olympic Dam in South Australia. The role focuses on maintaining surface and underground electrical and instrumentation equipment, requiring a recognised electrical trade qualification and instrumentation experience.

You will troubleshoot issues, contribute to reliability, and work within a busy mine operation on a 7 on/7 off roster. You will be trained in safety and operating standards and have the opportunity to develop skills

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade qualification is essential
• South Australian A-Class Electrical Workers licence or ability to obtain one
• Australian recognised Instrumentation Trade qualification and instrumentation experience
• Experience in a similar maintenance role with exposure to fixed plant is preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, reliability and availability of Surface and Underground electrical & instrumentation equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve E&I issues affecting performance and availability
• Apply trade skills to care and maintenance activities supporting equipment reliability
• Review and update maintenance schedules, plans and equipment history
• Develop and revise operating and maintenance procedures and communicate plant status
• Follow safety standards and maintain housekeeping in work areas
