About the organisation

This privately owned Australian apparel business has been operating for approximately twenty years. It designs, manufactures, wholesales and retails entirely under company-owned brands - simultaneously and at scale. The wholesale arm supplies around 350 boutique stockists across Australia and New Zealand; through its retail network that spans approximately twenty bricks-and-mortar stores. Both channels are supported by e-commerce dot-coms and underpinned by a bespoke, real-time inventory management system that integrates across all channels simultaneously. The business is lean, fast-moving, operating from Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs.

About the role

Reporting to the owner-operator, the E-commerce & Growth Manager takes end-to-end ownership of digital marketing strategy across e-commerce, bricks-and-mortar retail, and wholesale channels. The role is trusted with a seven-figure annual marketing budget and will begin with a thorough audit of current spend across Meta, Google, Google Merchant Centre, affiliates, and influencer partnerships. The appointee will be review, assess and identify what is generating an adequate return on investment and rebuild channel strategies accordingly. A core priority is developing separate, data-led strategies for channels that are currently inconsistent and have significantly greater potential. The role owns Meta campaigns at the most senior level, takes direct responsibility for Google and Google Merchant Centre management, brings rigour to influencer and affiliate activity, and develops currently underutilised channels including TikTok, YouTube, and emerging website-integrated tools. The role manages two existing marketing team members and will be a senior member of this thriving and ambitious business.

About you

You are a senior digital marketer with genuine omnichannel experience spanning both e-commerce and physical retail. Your Meta expertise is extensive and you are hands-on.You have owned high-value campaigns at the most senior level and are fluent in the Meta Business Manager ecosystem, including managing AI overrides, ad structures, and attribution. You are equally capable across Google Ads, Google Merchant Centre, and SEO fundamentals, and comfortable managing or directing third parties across these channels. Analytically strong, you pull insights from data, build evidence-based strategies, and can articulate clearly what is working and why. Experience in fashion, apparel, or comparable retail is highly desirable. You thrive in flat, fast-paced, owner-operated environments, communicate directly, and are comfortable being on-site as a dynamic leader in this team.
