Job summary

Future Tile is an online tile store based in Brisbane. We manage orders online, assist customers via chat and email, and handle in-showroom visits at our Fortitude Valley showroom. You’ll ensure orders move smoothly from checkout to delivery and help with pickups and samples.

Ideal candidates have experience in e-commerce customer support or logistics, working knowledge of Shopify, and a friendly, organised approach. This is a full‑time role in Brisbane with on‑site work.

Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce customer support, online retail operations, customer service or logistics.
• Shopify or similar platform experience is a plus.
• Clear and friendly in writing and on the phone.
• Organised—closes loops and ensures orders don’t slip.
• Willing to lift boxes of tiles up to ~15 kg.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer enquiries by live chat, email and phone: product questions, quantities, stock, order updates and delivery times.
• Manage orders end to end: confirm stock with suppliers, raise purchase orders, book freight and track deliveries.
• Handle delays, damaged deliveries and returns with care and follow‑through.
• Pick, pack and send tile samples, and prepare customer pickups.
• Keep product, stock and order data accurate in our online store and internal systems.
• Help customers in the showroom when they visit.

E-commerce Customer Support & Operations Assistant

Future Tile is an online tile store based in Brisbane. Most of our customers shop on our website, and we deliver tiles to homeowners, builders and trades across Australia. Our showroom and warehouse in Fortitude Valley is where customers come to see tiles in person and where we pack samples and get orders ready. We’re a small team that builds a lot of its own systems, so you’ll see how an e-commerce business runs from the inside.

The role

You’ll keep our online orders moving and look after our customers. Most of your day is online: answering live chat and email, following orders from checkout to delivery, and solving problems before they reach the customer. The rest is hands‑on, like packing samples, getting pickups ready and helping walk‑in customers in the showroom.

What you’ll do

Quick on a computer and comfortable learning new software

Happy to lift boxes of tiles up to about 15kg
