Job summary

The Baths Middle Brighton is seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support daily operations and lead our dynamic team. You will be hands-on, setting the example to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced venue on the water's edge.

This role requires autonomous leadership, resilience, and a commitment to high service standards, with weekend and night shifts essential to align with our premium guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume Cafe, Restaurant & Event operations.
• Minimum of 5 years hospitality industry experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of food & beverage service.
• Great communicator capable of leading a young, enthusiastic team.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across the business, working closely with the Director.
• Adhere to OH&S and Liquor License compliance.
• Maintain policy and procedures.
• Lead FOH & BOH teams, ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Assist in implementing service improvements and uphold service standards.
• Assist with training, mentoring and motivating staff.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and shift transitions.
• Manage bookings and floor plans.
• Manage staff rosters and shift checklists.
