Job summary

The Beach Hotel in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead operations and set the venue's culture. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of the venue's operations, ensuring smooth service, strong cash flow, and strict licensing compliance to protect the brand.

Your role focuses on developing a dynamic team, overseeing current and future operations, and collaborating on events and marketing to drive guest visits and revenue.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in food and beverage operations within high-volume environments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultural Leadership & Team Management: Lead by example during peak trading periods, build a positive workplace culture, and foster open communication.
• Business & Financial Acumen: Monitor sales, margins, and expenses against budgets to drive growth; manage till reconciliations and stock controls.
• Licensing, Compliance & Safety: Enforce licensing laws, safety protocols, and WHS standards; maintain cleanliness and venue security.
• Operations & Community Events: Oversee daily service, venue presentation, and collaboration on local events and marketing to drive revenue.
