Gisborne Secondary College in Gisborne, Victoria, seeks a classroom teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction and support student learning across year levels. The role emphasises literacy, numeracy, data‑driven planning and strong collaboration with families and colleagues.

You will contribute to a positive school culture, engage in ongoing professional learning, and support diverse learner needs within a comprehensive curriculum and wellbeing framework.

Formación

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to learning needs.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn; evaluate impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; use data to inform teaching; provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; build collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values; engage in reflective practice and professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsabilidades

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curricula.
• Undertake other classroom duties as determined by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
