Willowbank Primary School in Gisborne, Victoria, is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver literacy and numeracy programs across Prep to Year 6. The role involves planning, preparation and teaching to achieve student outcomes and contributing to school improvement.

The position covers Range 1 and Range 2 duties, including mentoring, using student data to inform instruction, and collaborating with families, staff and the wider community in line with Department values.

Formación

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and the ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring student learning and using data to inform teaching and provide feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Alignment with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsabilidades

• Direct teaching of groups of students; implementing curriculum and assessment.
• Contributing to curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related duties as required by the Principal.
• Engaging with parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervising and supporting student teachers where appropriate.
