Job summary

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills and ability to respond to student learning needs.
• SC2: Demonstrated experience planning high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating impact of teaching programs on student growth.
• SC3: Demonstrated experience monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and providing feedback to students and parents.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• SC5: Demonstrated behaviours aligned with Department values; evidence of reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas.
• Undertake other teaching-related and organizational duties as required.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as needed.
