Job summary

Viewbank College in Banyule, Victoria, is seeking a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and deliver high quality teaching across year levels. The role involves contributing to school programs, using data to inform instruction, and collaborating with students, parents and staff.

Qualifications

Knowledge of literacy and numeracy integration in teaching.
Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their effectiveness.
Experience monitoring student learning and giving feedback to students and parents.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues and the broader school community.
Commitment to professional learning and reflecting on practice to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

Direct teaching and delivery of programs to achieve student outcomes.
Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and school programs.
Undertake other classroom teaching related and organizational duties as directed by the Principal.
Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
Supervise and mentor student teachers and support staff in schools.
