Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria – Coburg VIC is seeking Classroom Teachers (Range 1 and Range 2) to deliver high-quality teaching at William Ruthven Secondary College. You will plan, teach and assess to improve student outcomes and participate in PLCs and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum with literacy and numeracy focus
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents and staff
• Evidence of reflective practice and ongoing professional learning

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals
• Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation
• Undertake classroom and school duties as required
• Participate in policy development, projects and co-curricular activities
• Mentor and coach other teachers as appropriate
