Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to student learning needs.

• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; use data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; build collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Demonstrated behaviour and attitudes aligned with Department values; engage in professional learning to improve practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Supervise and train student teachers and support staff as needed.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches and report progress to students and parents.
