Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Saint Albans VIC is seeking a classroom teacher to contribute to planning, preparation and teaching of programs across multiple campuses.

The role focuses on high quality instruction, data-informed practice, and collaboration with students, parents and staff. The position may involve travel between campuses and adherence to Department values and selection criteria.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Demonstrated experience in planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning programs.
• Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning using data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as required by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as needed.
