Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Saint Kilda VIC seeks a qualified classroom teacher for St Kilda Primary School to plan, prepare and deliver engaging literacy and numeracy programs. The role requires addressing diverse student needs, collaborating with families, and contributing to whole-school improvement within the Department.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program (Australia) is satisfied.
• Must demonstrate completion of literacy and numeracy (LANTITE) requirements.
• Ability to plan, teach and assess literacy and numeracy, and engage diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
