Job summary

Alkira is seeking a classroom teacher to join our growing school community. The role focuses on planning, preparing and delivering programs aligned with our SWIS model, ensuring inclusive, high-quality teaching across year levels.

The successful candidate will contribute to literacy and numeracy integration, score student progress through data, and collaborate with colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support student wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to respond to student learning needs.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating teaching impact.
• Experience monitoring student learning and using data to inform feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with collaborative relationships across school communities.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organisational duties as determined by leadership.
• Attend and participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Support school priorities through policy development and school improvement initiatives.
