Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Traralgon VIC is seeking a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across year levels. The role involves contributing to school programs, data-informed teaching, and collaboration with staff to support student wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy.
Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
Experience monitoring and assessing student learning using data.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
Contributing to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
Undertaking other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the Principal.
Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
Undertaking other non‑teaching supervisory duties.
