Job summary

Reef Gateway Hotel, owned by AVC Operations Pty Limited, is seeking a motivated Duty Manager for its Airlie Beach venue. You will lead shifts, mentor staff, and help drive exceptional guest experiences while working closely with the Venue Manager in a hands-on leadership capacity.

The role requires flexible availability, including nights and weekends, with opportunities for career development and progression within Australian Venue Co.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality or customer service environment.
• Strong leadership potential and a team-focused approach.
• Passion for delivering great guest experiences.
• Basic understanding of cash handling and venue operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and manage daily operations with the Venue Manager.
• Develop and coach team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Support operational procedures and cash handling as part of venue leadership.
• Collaborate with management to ensure smooth service and problem-solving.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-conscious team culture.
