Job summary

Discovery Parks is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead Pinky’s Restaurant on Rottnest Island. You’ll supervise service, motivate the Food & Beverage team through busy periods and help create memorable guest experiences.

Key duties include opening/closing operations, rostering, stock control, cash handling and upholding food safety and RSA standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays is required; RSA cert is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Food & Beverage team.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• RSA certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to supervise in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About Us

Located amongst the sand dunes of Rottnest Island, Pinky’s Restaurant offers an incredible setting for our guests and team. We’re looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join us and help lead our Food & Beverage operations.

About The Role

This is a hands‑on leadership position where you’ll support the day‑to‑day running of Pinky’s, lead the team through service and help create a memorable experience for our guests.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading and supporting the Food & Beverage team during service
• Overseeing smooth opening, service and closing operations
• Delivering excellent guest experiences
• Supporting rostering, stock control and cash handling
• Maintaining food safety, RSA and workplace safety standards
• Resolving guest enquiries and issues confidently
• Jumping in alongside the team when it gets busy

About You

• Previous Duty Manager or hospitality supervisory experience
• Strong restaurant or Food & Beverage experience
• A positive, hands‑on leadership style
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Confidence working in a busy hospitality environment
• Current RSA, or willingness to obtain
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
