Job summary

Maloney’s Hotel in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee the venue’s bar, bistro, gaming, functions, entertainment and guest services, ensuring smooth, safe and compliant operations.

You will lead staff, coordinate rosters, monitor sales and costs, ensure liquor licensing and WHS compliance, handle customer issues, and report performance to senior management. Diploma qualification and RSA/RCG certificates are required, with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification required.
• At least 1 year in hospitality management.
• Lead, train and supervise staff across areas.
• Experience with rostering, cash handling, reconciliations and reporting.
• Sound knowledge of liquor, gaming, food safety, WHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation across bar, bistro, gaming, functions, entertainment and customer service.
• Recruit, induct, train and supervise staff; create rosters and monitor performance.
• Maintain high customer experience; resolve complaints and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gambling, WHS and NSW regulations.
• Manage security, risk, opening/closing, emergencies and incident reporting.
• Monitor sales, labour costs and expenses; drive profitability.
