Job summary

Trinity Beach Sports Club in Cairns' Northern Beaches is seeking a full-time Duty Manager to lead a busy venue. This hands-on role focuses on outstanding customer service, staff supervision, and clear direction to ensure smooth operations across the bar, restaurant, gaming and TAB areas.

You will work various shifts, including days, weekends and nights until 3am, with responsibilities for conflict resolution, health and safety compliance, cash handling, stock control and event setups.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (or 3 years of relevant work experience as a substitute).
• Ability to work a varied shift pattern, including days, weekends and late nights.
• Proven conflict resolution and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Reliable, flexible and detail‑oriented with high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Manage venue operations during shifts across bar, restaurant, gaming and TAB areas.
• Supervise, direct and support staff, allocating duties and breaks.
• Ensure compliance with liquor and gaming laws, including responsible service.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and professionally resolve complaints.
• Oversee cash handling, gaming payouts, shift reconciliation and reporting.
