Job summary

EVT Group’s Rydges Darling Square in Sydney is seeking a Duty Manager to lead front office operations across shifts, welcome guests, handle queries and complaints, and support the team in busy periods while keeping operations smooth.

You’ll oversee check-in/out, supervise staff, promote high service standards, and contribute to revenue through rate management and cross-department collaboration. Daymaker culture and hands-on leadership shape every day.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Duty Manager or similar in a branded or independent hotel.
• Strong understanding of Front Office operations including rostering, arrivals/departures, and team coordination.
• Proven ability to manage guest complaints and incident reporting with a solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel operations during shifts and assist other departments as needed.
• Support Front Office operations, ensure staff presentation, punctuality and service standards.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction by resolving issues and promoting a welcoming service culture.
