Travel + Leisure Co. in Melbourne is seeking a Duty Manager to support the Front Office Manager, greet and register owners and guests, and manage guest issues while leading a front office team to deliver exceptional service.

The role collaborates with Sales & Marketing to introduce Vacation Ownership products and enhance guest experiences. The successful candidate will bring supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible roster in a fast-paced hospitality

Qualifications

• Experience in a Front Office supervisory role (Team Leader/Shift Supervisor/Duty Manager).
• Knowledge of hotel property management systems; Opera experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time, and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Front Office Manager in daily operations and guest services.
• Greet and register owners and guests; provide local area information.
• Lead, train, and develop front office team; promote high service standards.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to introduce Vacation Ownership products.
• Handle guest issues promptly and professionally.

Join our Melbourne team as a Duty Manager today! The Duty Manager will be responsible for supporting the Front Office Manager in the daily operations of the Front Office including greeting and registering owners and guests, providing information to local area attractions, administration, as well as managing any guest issues that may arise. The Duty Manager will also build, develop, training and leading a team proactively to promote high levels of customer service. In this unique position you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Sales & Marketing teams to introduce Guests to our Vacation Ownership product, Club Wyndham.

What You’ll Bring

To be considered for this great opportunity it is essential that you have the following skills and attributes:

• Proven experience in a Front Office department at a supervisory level either as a Team Leader, Shift Supervisor or Duty Manager (3 years is desirable)
• Knowledge of hotel property management systems, Opera preferred
• Events experience highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and active listening
• Detail focused with an organised approach and ability to multitask
• Positive attitude, vibrant and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications
• Bookkeeping /finance experience is highly regarded
• Immaculate presentation and grooming standards
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and school and public holiday periods
• The capability to work in a fast-paced environment both as part of a team and autonomously
