Job summary

Molly Malone's in Devonport, part of the Federal Hospitality group, is seeking a hands-on leader to manage daily operations across the pub, gaming, bar and bistro. You will work with the Hotel Manager to lead a close-knit shift team and deliver exceptional customer service in a busy environment.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will oversee health, safety, gaming and food safety procedures, assist with staff scheduling, handle customer issues, and manage opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Cash handling proficiency required.
• Strong customer service skills in a busy pub environment.
• Knowledge of food & beverage products and services.
• Tasmanian RSA certification required or able to obtain.
• RCG certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
• Experience in a pub-style venue or similar.

What you can expect in a day in this role:

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be expected to be hands-on with the daily operations, including gaming, food & beverage across the pub. You'll lead and manage a close-knit team during your shift, always ensuring exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships within the community.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Demonstrated cash handling proficiency
• An understanding of food & beverage products and services
• Current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
• Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG), or able to obtain
• Ability to work a variety of night, weekend, and public holiday shifts
• Experience in a pub-style venue or similar
