Flagstaff Hill Golf Club Inc is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Clubhouse Duty Manager to join our hospitality team in Adelaide. You will lead front-of-house operations, deliver superb service to members and guests, and support the FOH team to maintain a welcoming club environment.

The role is part-time with potential of increased shifts during peak function season, requiring professional presentation, leadership experience, and a commitment to high standards of food and beverage operations

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Responsible Person badge.
• Professional appearance and presentation.
• Experience as Duty Manager, Supervisor or hospitality leadership.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Health and safety compliance with high cleanliness standards.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain inventory control.
• Ensure clear communication with staff and customers while maintaining stock levels.
• Serve meals and engage positively with customers.
• Support FOH staff in the absence of the F&B Manager.
• Contribute ideas to improve service standards.
• Build relationships with members, guests, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Open and close the venue per procedures.
• Operate indoor golf simulators and assist customers.

Job description

Flagstaff Hill Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and customer-focused Clubhouse Duty Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality operation, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our clubhouse, delivering exceptional service to members and guests, and supporting our Front of House team.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, experience in food and beverage operations, and a passion for creating a welcoming and memorable club environment. This is a hands-on role that requires initiative, professionalism, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Hours:

Part-time role with hours increasing to 25+ hours per week during peak function season. Initial hours may be lower, with opportunities for additional shifts as business demands grow.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain effective inventory control.
• Ensure clear communication with staff and customers while maintaining stock levels.
• Serve meals and engage positively with customers.
• Support and mentor Front of House (FOH) staff in the absence of the F&B Manager.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve service standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members, guests, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Open and close the venue in accordance with operational procedures.
• Operate and assist customers with our indoor golf simulators.

Requirements:

• A current Responsible Person badge.
• A professional and well-presented appearance.
• Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and memorable experience.
• The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
