Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Dump Truck Operator for its Production Mining Team in Western Australia. The role involves FIFO from Perth to the Iron Bridge Mine on a 2:1 roster, with salary sacrifice options and new camp facilities at Japal Village.

You will operate heavy dump trucks and support safe, efficient mining operations. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in production dump trucks, specifically CAT 793F, with a valid Australian driver’s license and a hard rock mining background preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a production dump truck operator in mining.
• Experience operating Caterpillar 793F dump trucks is essential.
• Hard rock mining operation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery efficiently, safely and competently to maximise output.
• Comply with Thiess’s policies and procedures.
• Respond to instructions from Mining Supervisor.
• Position machinery for efficient loading.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carry out pre-start checks.

In this role, you will:

• Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output


• Complying with Thiess’s policies and procedures


• Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor


• Effectively positioning machinery to allow for efficient loading


• Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards


• Carrying out pre-start checks

About you:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a production dump truck operator in mining


• Equivalent to or specific experience operating Caterpillar 793F dump trucks is essential


• Experience in hard rock mining operation desirable


• Valid Australian drivers license – required
