Job summary

Ame ygroupi is seeking a Survey professional to contribute to fieldwork and final plans, progressing towards Registered Surveyor accreditation. You’ll work with our Survey Manager and senior team on a range of cadastral, engineering and control surveys.

The role balances office and field work across diverse projects, with clear development pathways and supportive leadership to help you grow and achieve registration milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or equivalent is required.
• Practical fieldwork experience and drafting ability are essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Topcon Magnet and MS Office is expected.
• Working knowledge of surveying legislation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and progressively lead cadastral, engineering, and control surveys.
• Undertake survey fieldwork, calculations and searching.
• Prepare and draft survey plans and reports using CAD software.
• Support the checking, finalisation and filing of plans and documentation.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.

Job description

Working closely with our Survey Manager, Registered Surveyor and senior team members, you’ll be involved in the delivery of projects from fieldwork through to final plans and reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with and progressively leading components of cadastral, engineering and control surveys;
• Undertaking survey fieldwork, calculations and survey searching;
• Preparing and drafting survey plans and reports using CAD software (AutoCAD and Topcon Magnet);
• Supporting the checking, finalisation and filing of plans and documentation;
• Liaising with internal team members, clients and external stakeholders;
• Managing survey equipment and vehicles;
• Contributing to projects in line with agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards.

This role offers a balance of office‑based and field work, with exposure to varied environments and project types.

Qualifications

You’ll have a strong interest in continuing professional development and working towardsRegistered Surveyoraccreditation.

Required experience

• A bachelor’s degree in surveying or equivalent;
• Practical experience across surveying fieldwork and drafting;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Topcon Magnet and Microsoft Office (or similar software programs) and strong IT skills and ability to learn relevant software programs;
• Working knowledge of relevant surveying and planning legislation;
• Strong time management, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills;
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work well in a team;
